Senior Project :: development

For those that don't know, the art students at Stout finish their last semester with a Senior Show. For graphic designers, this means we create a fictitious business or service and design all the elements. After loads of brainstorming and stressful 'how can I make my show rock' moments I landed on a cookie delivery service.

I first experienced a cookie delivery service when I visited Abhrajeet in Philly. It was amazing! Who wouldn't love freshly baked cookies delivered right to your door? Then last summer, while I was at CaringBridge, cookies from Tank Goodness were delivered - in the most beautiful box ever. I knew exactly what I wanted to achieve in my project.

Much like Domino's or Jimmy John's, you can call up The Sweet Spot and order traditional cookies, or create your own recipe. The Sweet Spot team whips you up a batch, sticks it in our oven, and delivers it right to your door with some milk.

Here are just a few of my logo sketches. Have I ever mentioned that the letter 'W' may be one of the hardest letters to get right? I have pages and pages of just that single letter.

After a lot of feedback, crits, hand cramps and illustrator crashes the logo was born:
To say that I am a fan of patterns is an understatement. I wanted to incorporate baking goods into my patterns that would be a reoccurring element. I ended up with three patterns: Spatulas, Beaters and Oven Mits.
